Author’s Information
Haru Nakai is a writer and translator. She is a member of the Beatrix Potter Society and also conducts research on British history and William Morris. Her translations include the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series (Poplar Publishing), the Wonder series (Holp Publishing), In the Night... (BL Publishing), What is Consent, the Word That Protects Children? (Shueisha), and Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer (Sekai Bunka Publishing).
Akiko Shirato is an illustrator and picture book author. She has worked extensively on rabbit illustrations, including covers and illustrations for rabbit magazines, packaging for small animal food, and signage for veterinary clinics. Her picture book is Why, Why? (Alice-kan), and she has illustrated a reading material called The Day I Became a Rabbit (text by Muranaka Rie, Sekai Bunka Publishing). She has lived with rabbits for over 20 years.
Akihiro Sashi is a historian specializing in British history. She holds a PhD in Western history from the Graduate School of Letters at Osaka University. After working as an assistant at the Faculty of Letters, Osaka University, he served as president of Kobe City University of Foreign Studies from 2017 to 2021, and is currently a professor emeritus at the same university. His many books include An Illustrated History of Britain (Kawade Shobo Shinsha) and A Social History of the Christian Church: Variations through Time and Region (co-editor, Sairyusha).
